Wouldn’t it feel incredible to cross some things off your daily to-do list permanently?
It would – and it will.
I’ll show you how… through outsourcing.
Here are 4 things you should stop doing yourself, and start outsourcing today.
I’ve got news for you – if you have a stack of papers in your personal life… you know the one, with opened and unopened mail, bills that are unpaid, flyers from your kids’ school – then you likely have the same kind of pile of papers at your business. Habits are habits. The culprits at the office are typically financial documents, taxes, and legal docs. In other words, IMPORTANT stuff.
If you’re not in a position to hire out legal or tax experts, at least get yourself someone to handle your accounting, because that’s one area where you ‘can’t afford’ to not know what you’re doing. See what I did there?
You probably didn’t major in English…but even if you did, something I always recommend outsourcing as quickly as possible is your content.
It’s completely OK to bounce ideas around with people on your team or brainstorm with them in their individual niches. And there’s nothing wrong with having a personal blog to connect with your audience on a large scale, especially if you enjoy it! But the writing that will reach your target market is too important to be mediocre. Invest in someone who can say it, write it, and convey it better than you can.
3. Social Media
If you’re successful, you’re likely very connected on social media. This is great, but it’s also quite a time sucker if you’re doing it right. And staying on top of this aspect of business alone could be a part time job. (A part-time job you can’t take on.)
So I recommend finding someone to dedicate especially to that, so that you’re not the actual voice behind every posting, comment, and tweet. When you are hands off on details like this one, you can commit your time to things that really count – like lead generation and optimization strategies.
4. Your Emotions
I know that’s not what you were expecting to read. Really Gonzalo? Outsource my emotions?
I’m completely serious.
I bet, if you’re honest with yourself, you have never been more stressed, overwhelmed, overworked, underpaid, and spread thin in your life as you are now as an entrepreneur. It’s part of the journey in the beginning. And if you’re going to survive it, you need help with the stuff happening in your head.
Coaching seems like a joke to some people until they experience it and see an incredible shift within themselves, a greater ability to manage stress, increased productivity, and the comfort of a shared perspective.
The beginning of any venture can be a scary and isolating time for even the most fearless leaders. It’s immeasurably helpful to have someone to bounce ideas and frustrations off of, and to offer perspective and solutions when you hit a wall.
So be proactive in taking care of yourself emotionally by outsourcing coaching help, and you’ll be better equipped to handle the roller coaster ride that is entrepreneurship.
